Tables of All Shapes, Textures, and Colors

The rustic aesthetic is one of the most popular designs for home décor right now, and Past & Present is proud to offer many options fit for the theme! Emphasizing the natural beauty of raw materials, furniture that features reclaimed or unfinished wood provide a sense of warmth often found in summer log cabins along the lake.

Custom built by local craftsman Roy Schafer, his tables blend raw materials with polished wood for a seamless design that is both stylish and rugged. Some of Roy’s tables feature a distinctive pattern achieved by using a chainsaw to mark the tabletop, making each piece different from the next. These marks bring out the natural grains of the wood and add to its rustic flair.

Something Old Becomes Something New

If you’ve ever heard the phrase, ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure,’ then you know the value in this interior design trend.

Requiring hours of detailed attention and work, Jeff Lanoue reclaims the beauty of old furniture—such as this antique-style vanity—and enhances it to make a brand new table complete with a dark-washed wooden butcherblock tabletop. Elements like the intricate wooden details on the drawers and beautiful handles make this a true conversation piece with character!

With some fresh paint and intentional distressing, a vintage charm is added to the furnishings that Jeff creates. Take this coffee table for instance: Originally much taller, its new height allows the once high table to be a great centerpiece for a spacious living room. Its large tabletop offers plenty of space for trinkets, books, or an ideal spot for game night with friends and family.
